There could be a number of reasons why QuickBooks Desktop is unable to connect with the company file, including network problems, corrupted files, or improper file permissions. Make sure the file is on the server, and make sure the network is working. Check that the QuickBooks Database Server Manager is operating and that the hosting parameters are set correctly.
