Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic, Damla, Yamuna Nagar was established in the sacred memory of Seth Jai Parkash Ji, an eminent industrialist and philanthropist of Northern India. The polytechnic was established in 1980 with a certificate course in Library Science and Radio & TV Technology. The first diploma course in Chemical Engineering (Pulp & Paper Technology) was started in the year 1983. The status of the polytechnic became grant-in-aid w.e.f. 1 April, 1990. At present, the polytechnic is organized into 6 engineering departments. All the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Haryana State Board of Technical Education, Panchkula.
