In early May, the Polkadot team received a proposal to replace the Polkadot Relay Chain with a Join-Accumulate Machine (JAM), with the reasons why the JAM Protocol Upgrade should be embraced presented in a Gray Paper. After an almost unanimous vote from the Polkadot community, the Polkadot team took to X to announce that the proposal for the JAM Protocol Upgrade was approved. This announcement comes after the platform recently celebrated its fourth anniversary.
