PMOLED stands for Passive-Matrix OLED.PMOLED displays do not contain a storage capacitor, which means PMOLED often consume more voltage to be brighter. However, small size (generally 3-5 inches) makes PMOLED cheaper and easy-to-fabricate than AMOLED. Most PMOLEDs are not the best choice to show photos or videos. PMOLED is mostly used in small-scale, monochrome applications where less voltage is required. We can see companies using PMOLED displays in fitness wearables, mini players, unit measuring devices, automobiles, etc.
