Plerixafor: Dosage and Administration

The medicine Mozobil contains the active ingredient Plerixafor to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells to the surrounding blood for collection and subsequent autologous transplantation in patients with Non-Hodgkin?s lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Plerixafor comes in 24 mg/1.2 mL (20 mg/mL) in single-dose vials to administer subcutaneously. Begin treatment with Plerixafor after the patient has received G-CSF once a day for 4 days. Administer Plerixafor 24 mg injection approximately 11 hours before initiating each apheresis for up to 4 consecutive days.
