Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)

Rachelk28 Apr, 2022Health

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) is a chronic disease in which plaque builds up in the arteries to the legs. It affects 8.5 million people in the U.S., including 12-20% of people over the age of 60. This buildup typically occurs gradually. If allowed to progress, blood flow in that artery can become limited or blocked all together.
