GFCI outlets are plugs that will break the circuit if they sense a difference of 4 to 6 milliamps between the hot and neutral wires. Circuit breakers stop the flow of electricity when the circuit is overloaded. Most of the time, you can't replace a GFCI or AFCI breaker with a regular circuit breaker.
