The Seiko 5 professional and military watch has been manufactured continuously since 1957. When it was first introduced, it was available exclusively in the Japanese market as a military or professional timepiece. The most recent iteration of the Seiko 5 Military Watch is outfitted with a hardlex crystal and a revised caliber 21 jewel movement, both of which allow it to maintain accurate timekeeping in comparison to its predecessors. On the other hand, this is in no way intended to take the place of the original versions. The value of having one does not change regardless of how much it costs or what features it has.
