BOP stands for �Broken Orange Pekoe�. When the tea leaves are crushed in order to prepare bagged teas, it goes by the term �Broken�. Actually, these teas are lower in grades that includes dust and fanning. These are tiny remnants formed during the process of crushing and sorting. These types of teas are used typically for preparing tea and are grown in India, Sri Lanka and China.
