The Ontario Human Rights Code (Violation Code) is provincial legislation that ensures that everyone has fair access to jobs, commerce, self-governing professions, services, goods, contracts, and facilities without discrimination, abuse, or reprisal. You have a duty under the Code to maintain a safe and equitable work climate, as well as to avoid and counter discrimination and harassment. You will have a legal obligation to accommodate the staff to the extent possible.
