This one-pot rasam rice is a very convenient and easy recipe. With ingredients like garlic and cumin, rasam rice is always a go-to when we are confronted with digestive issues. Soak rice and toor dal for 30 minutes. Sauté mustard seeds, crushed pepper mixture, curry leaves, dried chillies, and tomatoes in oil. Add turmeric, rasam powder, tamarind juice, soaked rice, dal, water, and salt; cook for 4-5 whistles in a pressure cooker. After cooling, stir in chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with appalam.
