Acetaminophen (ApAP) is the most used medicines worldwide; however, hepatotoxicity is a severe risk with overdose or in patients with compromised liver function. Acetaminophen overdose is the most common cause of acute fulminant hepatic failure. The mechanism of hepatotoxicity is associated with the oxidation of Acetaminophen to N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine (NAPQI).
