Node.js vs PHP: Which One is Better for Backend Development?

Trigma30 Nov, 2021Technology

Node.js is a young, hot, and game-changing technology that changed the game for backend development. Linked with JavaScript (and sometimes even running on it), Node is an event-driven, non-blocking I/O programming language that has gained popularity in recent years for being fast, scalable, and efficient. PHP is by no means outdated or bad for business but there are some key differences between these two technologies that you need to understand before you decide which one is appropriate for your project. Node.js was created by Ryan Dahl to be a platform for building web applications, and it's been a huge success ever since. PHP has been around for a long time as well, but something about Node.js has led to its growth being faster than that of PHP. The Node.js application process is much faster than that of PHP, which can lead to reduced development times - but not at the cost of security or scalability.
