Newly identified drug targets could open doorway for esophageal cancer therapeutics
Results published in Gastroenterology indicate to dual signaling pathways (controlled by JNK and TGF-beta proteins, respectively) as contributing to EAC tumors. The pathways paint molecular sequence reactions that were overactive in studious expansion cells, though not in biopsies from patients with non-cancerous esophageal conditions, including Barrett�s Esophagus.
