The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) enables people with disabilities to have greater choice and control over their support and services. The funded supports that are accessible through the NDIS empower the participants to achieve their goals and live their best lives. A participant?s NDIS plan may include funding for three types of support budgets. Among them, the NDIS Core Supports budget helps to access assistance with everyday activities that are directly related to the participant?s disability. Support categories which come under Core Supports include Assistance with Daily Life, Consumables, Assistance with Social and Community Participation and Transport. The most fundamental daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, household chores like cleaning, continence support and community participation are the focus of NDIS Core Supports.
