Service providers are an important part of the NDIS. They can be individuals or organisations through which various supports and services get delivered to the participants. There are two types of service providers under the NDIS: registered NDIS service providers and unregistered service providers. Registered providers are the ones who chose to officially register with the NDIS. The registered tag indicates that they satisfy the standards for safety and quality specified in the NDIS Practice Standards. But that doesn?t mean that the quality of services provided by the unregistered providers is inferior. It just indicates that they didn?t choose to go through the official registration process. Both registered and unregistered providers are required to comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
