Yoga includes shatkarma and asanas. In the age-old practice in India, yoga has been practiced for its curative benefits and preventative measure, protecting mind and body, while uplifting the spirit. A full yoga session should exercise every part of the body. Yoga consists of Shathkarma, Asana, Pranayam, and Meditation. Shatkarmas help in the purification of the body. The maximum benefit of yoga can only be achieved with regular cleansing of the system. There are six different types of Shatkarmas: Neti : Nasal cleaning, including jala neti and sutra neti. Dhauti : Cleansing of the digestive tract. Nauli : Abdominal massage. Basti : Colon cleaning. Kapalbhati : Purification and vitalization of the frontal lobes. Trataka : Blinkless gazing.
