Mycoplasma is a microorganism (or infection) that can infect a patient's body. The patient's skin, lungs, or urinary tract problems will depend on the type of mycoplasma bacterium that has infected them. All mycoplasma infections do, however, have one thing in common. In contrast to most bacteria, Mycoplasma does not have cell walls. They are also incredibly tiny when compared to other bacteria. This information is essential since many drugs fight bacteria by weakening those walls.
