Mumbai Indians sign Akash Madhwal as replacement for injured SKY

Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have roped in Uttarakhand?s Akash Madhwal as replacement for the injured Suryakumar Yadav for the remainder of IPL 2022. Notably, Mumbai are already out of the IPL 2022 Playoffs contention and have two more league matches to play for which Madhwal has been added to the squad. The 28-year-old is a right-arm medium-fast bowler who has 14 wickets from 11 matches in his List A career so far. He averages 29.78 with the ball with the best bowling figures of 3/57.
