MTHFR & Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

Elemental Health And Nutrition03 Apr, 2020Health

A study released shows that riboflavin, which is the cofactor for MTHFR (and MTRR), is effective at improving homocysteine levels DESPITE folate levels. It improves MTHFR function whether the person has low or high folate levels. And it does it better than giving folate, B12, or B6. 82% of males and 77% of females aged 19-24yrs are deficient in riboflavin, and older people are at even greater risk. You can throw all the folate you want at the MTHFR enzyme, but you wont get far without enough riboflavin.
