Medicare Supplement Part B helps cover some costs associated with Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and Medicare Part B (medical insurance). This is known as your "deductible." You will generally pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for these services, plus any lab charges and prescription drugs. Depending on the terms of your plan, this may not mean you have to pay anything out-of-pocket. The first three pints of blood you receive are covered under the plan's Basic Coverage, and the rest will be subject to your annual out-of-pocket limit.
