Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan (MMU Solan) is a private university founded in 2010. MMU offers 37 UG and PG courses in four different schools: Computer Technology, Medicine & Health Sciences, Business Management, and Engineering & Technology. Admission is based on merit as well as entrance exams such as NEET-UG, NEET-PG, JEE Main, and GATE. A qualifying MAT exam is required for MBA and PGDM programmes. When the admission session begins, it provides both (online and offline) modes of admission. MBBS is the most popular and preferred programme at MMU, Solan, with 150 students receiving 100% placement. This university's B.Tech programme is another master's degree programme in which 80% of students are placed each year. Every year, companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, Deloitte, Wipro, and Infosys visit and offer an average salary package of INR 4-5 LPA.
