Maharashtra: Fisheries Minister Aslam Sheikh visited the cyclone affected areas in Mumbai

On Tuesday, May 18, Maharashtra fisheries minister Aslam Shaikh visited a few fishing villages in Mumbai to review the damage and promised adequate compensation to the locals. He inspected the areas in Malad, Madh, Mahim and Colaba and consoled the fishermen. He also said that the state government will take up the issue of providing compensation to those affected by the cyclone in the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, May 19. Maharashtra will also seek compensation from the Centre.
