Lung cancer and its treatment

According to the survey conducted by the American Lung Association, almost 2,30,000 people across the world are diagnosed with lung cancer every year. Lung cancer is classified into two types, namely small-lung cancer and non-small lung cancer. Non-small cell lung cancer is a disease that progresses gradually. The three forms of non-small lung cancer are squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and large-cell carcinoma. Small-lung cancer is a disease that rapidly progresses and is usually caused due to cigarette smoking.
