LoL Worlds 2023: Venue, Date, Prize Money, New format and More

One of the biggest esports titles in the world, League of Legends has announced some key details about its world championship, the League of Legends Worlds 2023. The tournament will be returning to South Korea for the first time since 2018, where IG defeated Fnatic to become the World Champions. LOL Esports released a new and updated format for the global event which is set to make the tournament more competitive and entertaining. The format seems to take inspiration from Counter Strike Global Offensive majors. With the changes, LEC and LCS teams could have a fighting chance and avoid another set of demolishing results by LCK and LPL teams.
