pilonidal sinus is a type of anal disease, which causes cysts containing hair and infection in the lower back and the last part of the spine. This cyst is caused by skin abrasion and hair turning inwards and appears with pain, infection and foul-smelling discharge. It is better to treat pilonidal cysts as soon as possible because the extent of the infection increases over time. Treatment of pilonidal cysts without surgery and with home and medical methods has no effect other than temporary reduction of infection and for definitive treatment requires more invasive methods such as laser and surgery.
