Laparoscopic surgery, also known as minimally invasive surgery or keyhole surgery, is a modern surgical technique that offers several advantages over traditional open surgery. In laparoscopic surgery, small incisions are made in the abdomen through which specialized surgical instruments and a camera called a laparoscope are inserted. The laparoscope transmits images of the surgical area to a monitor, allowing the surgeon to perform the procedure with precision.
