According to the Hindu calendar, the fast of Hariyali Teej is celebrated every year on the third day of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month. Women observe a fast of Hariyali Teej without water and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati according to the rituals. It is believed that observing this fast pleases Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati and blesses the woman with a child.
