The private label candles were mostly manufactured with the help of high quality wax. This wax was the same that we use today in this modern age. Even countries like Japan started making such candles after seeing Chinese doing such marvelous feats. During the middle age candles with private labels were also used made of the animal fat that used to get burnt by fire. Many such candles emitted the odor of animal fat thus manufacturers also started making scented candles. Most of these candles were made with scented wax material. After the 18th century all realized that fat of animals like cow and pig emitted odor when used in candles. Thus bee wax and paraffin wax was introduced.
