A kiwi looks like a small furry egg. Although the kiwi is plain in appearance, beneath its fuzzy brown surface is a bright emerald green flesh with an exotic flavor. The bright pale green flesh is speckled with a ring of tiny edible black seeds. It has a tangy (sweet and sour) taste. It is a very refreshing fruit. The most common type of kiwi in markets is green hayward kiwi. Another is the golden kiwi. Golden kiwis have bronze skin and a pointed cap at one end. The taste of green kiwi is sometimes described as a combination of strawberry, banana, and pineapple. Gold kiwifruit has yellow flesh that is less tart than green kiwifruit and has a tropical flavor.
