Kedarkantha Trek

Kedarkantha Trek is one of the most famous winter treks in India. Its height is 12,500 ft (3,800 m). The kedarkantha trek location is a village called Sankari in the Uttarkashi district. There are also other routes for the Kedarkantha trek, like an eastern ridge, western ridge, and Phulara ridge. But, the villages connected to these areas are not much explored so most of the trekkers use the Sankari route to reach the Kedarkantha peak. Being a winter trek, usually, is not easy to do for everyone due to the heavy snowfall. Kedarkantha trek is unlike other that you might have done or heard about. Kedarkantha trek is not a short trek, it takes around 6-7 days to the summit and back (if you are starting from Dehradun to base camp). Kedarkantha falls in the range of Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.
