Kabul Bomb Blast killed 12 US Marines & Navy Medic Service Members

On Thursday afternoon, the Pentagon has confirmed that a series of blasts in the Afghan capital killed 12 US Marines and one Navy medic. They were deployed to provide support for the evacuation of US personnel and Afghan citizens from Hamid Karzai International Airport. The White House also confirmed 12 deaths and 15 wounded US service members in two suicide bomb attacks on Kabul airport. US Central Command General Kenneth McKenzie said the blast happened when a suicide bomber attempted to pass through a security checkpoint at the airport gates.
