Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University (KNU), established on October 25, 1925, in Bishkek, is Kyrgyzstan's oldest and largest higher education institution. Named after the 11th-century poet and scholar Jusup Balasagyn, the university offers over 130 academic programs across 16 faculties, including medicine, law, and engineering. It has approximately 26,000 students and 1,700 faculty members. KNU is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
