After dismissing Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope, Ravichandran Ashwin produced a lethal delivery to scalp Root’s wicket. Umpire Kumar Dharmasena didn’t seem to be convinced but Indian skipper Rohit Sharma called for the DRS. The replay showed no involvement of the bat and the ball-track reflected three reds. However, the majority of the ball appeared to be outside the leg-stump but the review ruled it lbw. The dismissal became a topic of discussion in no time, and while England fans questioned the technology, others opined that England could never accept their defeat and their shortcomings.
