he Jasmine is native to tropical and warm or temperate regions of the old world. The Jasmine flowers are white in most species, with some species being yellow. The Jasmine is believed to have originated in the Himalayas in western China. The flowers are small and milk white in colour with a beautiful and persistent odour which has the tendency of filling the space where it grows. The scent of the flower is most evident in the night that is why it is also known as �Raat ki Raani� in India. �Chameli� is the most common and popular name by which the Jasmine flower is known in India. Many poets from all around the world, deploy Jasmine as the symbol of delicate feminity, piety and beauty. According to poetic jargon, the scent of Jasmine is enough to intoxicate a lover into enticement.
