Japan is abandoning diesel and gasoline cars

Green investment is a priority in the Tokyo Government's strategy to support the recovery of the economy. Japan aims to reach a net carbon dioxide level of zero by 2050. Japan aims to ban the sale of new cars equipped with gasoline engines in the next 15 years, the Tokyo government announced , according to a plan by which the Japanese state wants to reach zero carbon emissions. The plan provides for stimulating the sale of electric vehicles, including hybrid models and fuel cell vehicles, by around 2035.
