The city of Jamnagar in Gujarat has seen many influential and educated rulers who were keen on the growth and expansion of the place and the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage. This led to the establishment of the Archaeological Museum of Jamnagar in 1946 by Jam Shri Digvijay Singhji in the ancient building called the LakhotaKotho which has all the personal collections of Shri Digvijay Singh.
