Hemorrhoids, or internal hemorrhoids, are damage and inflammation to the internal arteries of the anus. In contrast, external hemorrhoids occur on the outside and around the anus. The symptoms of internal hemorrhoids may be less palpable at the beginning of the disease. But usually patients with this complication, in the first stage, see bright blood streaks on their stool. Seeing blood in the stool is sometimes not the only sign of internal hemorrhoids.
