Indian Team after disappointing Test series against South Africa returns. Indian Team returns to red cricket. India will be hosting their neighbours Sri Lanka in a 2 match test series which will be part of ICC World Test Championship. Since the frustrating loss to South Africa, a lot has happened with the Indian Test team off the field. Indian Test captain Virat Kohli shockingly resigned from his captaincy and test team regulars the likes of Rahane, Pujara, Saha and Ishant Sharma have been shown the door by team management and new young players have been added to Indian Test team. Now with Virat stepping down as captain, Rohit Sharma has been appointed as Indian Skipper for all 3 formats. This upcoming Test series will be Rohit 1st series as the Indian Test Team Captain.
