Hydrogen is obtained from fossil fuels and biomass, as well as water and a combination of the two. Natural gas is the most common source of Hydrogen, accounting for three-quarters of the total dedicated hydrogen production of around 70 million metric tonnes per year. This accounts for around 6% of global natural gas consumption. The growing production and consumption are expected to boost the hydrogen market growth across the globe along with India.
