SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a standard that allows Identity Providers (IdPs) to transfer authorization credentials to service providers (SPs). Extensible Markup Language (XML) is used by SAML transactions to provide structured communication to IdPs and service suppliers. SAML is the connecting link between a user�s identity authentication and permission to use a service.
