Health experts in Pakistan declared that the mpox virus case discovered there last week is not the same strain that is rife in Africa. According to a Pakistani health ministry statement, medical professionals categorize the incidence as being in Clade 2b. The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is now experiencing an outbreak, with Clade 1b being the primary cause. Notably, the statement states that there have not yet been any Clade 1b cases documented in Pakistan. However, the first case linked to the African outbreak to be diagnosed outside of Africa was discovered last week, according to Swedish officials, and they belong to the Clade 1b subclade.
