Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: Treatment Facts For Effective Healing

The use of hyperbaric oxygen treatment was first practised in the United States in the early 20th century. In order to cure deep-sea divers suffering from decompression sickness, the U.S. Navy adopted this therapy. Further, by the 1960s, the technique was being used to heal carbon monoxide poisoning. It is still used to cure scuba divers and others ill due to carbon monoxide poisoning, including firefighters and miners.
