Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in the anus and rectum that can cause pain, itching, and rectal bleeding. Hemorrhoids can be internal or external. Take a warm bath. Sit in a bathtub filled with warm water for about 15 minutes at a time. Do this two or three times a day, and after each bowel movement. If you want to wash the affected area as well, use a fragrance-free soap.
