New regulations concerning the operation of automobiles older than 15 years were recently released by the Delhi Transport Department. The new regulations state that once a petrol or CNG vehicle reaches the 15-year mark, it will be declared unsafe to operate in the National Capital Region, and no fitness certificate will be able to overturn the prohibition and allow you to do so. In Delhi, the deadline for diesel automobiles is ten years.
