Before moving further, let’s first discuss about widely known 1948 female rule line. It is basically a law that grants citizenship to those people who have female ancestors in Italian state. Before January 1, 1948 women with Italian citizenship could hold it, but can’t pass it to their children. Only men had the right to pass the citizenship on to their children which doesn’t follow the rule of equality between men and women.
