Before moving further, let�s first discuss about widely known 1948 female rule line. It is basically a law that grants citizenship to those people who have female ancestors in Italian state. Before January 1, 1948 women with Italian citizenship could hold it, but can�t pass it to their children. Only men had the right to pass the citizenship on to their children which doesn�t follow the rule of equality between men and women.
