Customer reviews and ratings are some of the amazing ways to build trust among the visitors and make your store look genuine. Sometimes, the store owners may not want to display the ratings on the product page for a variety of products. By default, there is no option to disable Magento 2 reviews and ratings from the backend from the Magento 2.2.x version onwards. Older versions of Magento had such functionality, but it is no longer present in the latest versions. Therefore, you may require to opt for a programmatic way to do that! To disable Magento 2 reviews and ratings, you need to remove the blocks related to the reviews and ratings in the Magento 2 theme file. For that, you need to add a few lines of code to the default.xml file in the Magento theme.
