After Kurushetram, one day Lord Krishna began his meditation under a tree when he retired into the wilderness. Then Lord Krishna was shot and killed by the hunter ?Jara Sabar? who mistook his partially visible left foot for a deer?s foot. In the past life, Vaali was killed by Lord Rama in the Treta Yuga; he was born as Jara Sabar. In the Dwapara Yuga, Vaali got the option to take revenge on Sri Krishna by reincarnating as a hunter.
