The DBA degree is still unfamiliar to many individuals, despite its expanding popularity across the globe. Furthermore, the number of business Ph.D. degree programs and graduates continues to dwarf DBA programs. The doctorate in business administration was first offered at Harvard Business School in 1953, and by 1960, it had been renamed the DBA degree. Since then, many universities around the world have picked up on the name and adopted it, and the DBA has largely come to be accepted as the highest level of education in the business discipline.
