1. If your bite is crooked or your teeth don't line up properly, your jaw may be under pressure in a way it wasn't meant to withstand- misaligned teeth can mean the jaw muscles never fully relax or are under an uneven amount of force when chewing. This can result in headaches or even migraines may happen on and off for years, or as long as dental issues go uncorrected. The same issues with jaw pressure can result in TMJD, or temporomandibular joint disorder. This disorder describes a problem with the joint just in front of the ear where the lower jaw is attached to the skill. If your jaw is thrown off balance by an improper bite, this joint can become inflamed and extremely painful, sometimes even making it difficult to chew and/or talk.
